Robert M. Friedland
Executive Chairman, President & CEO
A co-founder of Ivanhoe Energy and co-founder and Co-Chairman of its China-focused operating subsidiary Sunwing Energy, Mr. Friedland is an international financier who has been associated with international resource and technology ventures for 25 years. He is Chairman of Ivanhoe Capital Corporation, his family's private, Singapore-based company that specializes in venture capital and project financing, and Chairman of Ivanhoe Mines, a Canadian company with extensive operating, development and exploration interests in the Asia Pacific region. Mr. Friedland has been recognized with consecutive Investor Envoy of the Year awards from the Mongolian Government in 2003 and 2002.

Robert Abboud, President of A. Robert Abboud and Company, a private investment company, has had 45-year career in oil and gas, banking and foreign affairs. He was previously President and Chief Operating Officer of Occidental Petroleum Corporation, Chairman of First Chicago Corporation and The First National Bank of Chicago, Chairman of First City Bancorporation of Texas and Chairman of ACB International, Ltd., a joint venture which included the Bank of China and a subsidiary of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Relations and Trade. He has also served on numerous Boards of Directors, many of them as Audit Committee Chairman.

A veteran Canadian diplomat, Howard Balloch began serving as Canada's ambassador to China, Mongolia and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in 1996 after a 20-year career in the Government of Canada's Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. A specialist on Pacific Rim nations, Mr. Balloch helped to develop bilateral exchanges between Canada and China and led the promotion and protection of Canadian interests in China. After retiring from the government's foreign service in July 2001, he continued to support Sino-Canadian business cooperation through his Beijing-based private investment and consulting business, and as president of the Canada-China Business Council.

 From 1986 to 1995 Mr. Downey was President and CEO of Credit Union Central of Canada, the national trade association and national liquidity facility for all credit unions in Canada. Today, its 500 credit unions and affiliated caisses populaires have combined assets of over $95 billion and serve almost 5 million members. Mr. Downey went on to become a partner and the CEO of Lending Solutions, Inc. a full-service loan call centre located in the U.S. whose clients are primarily U.S. and Canadian financial institutions.

 Dr. Robert Graham is Chairman of Ensyn Corporation and co-founder of the HTL™ technology. Dr. Graham has been working on the commercial development of the RTP™ biomass refining and petroleum upgrading technologies since the early 1980's. This work culminated in the development of commercial RTP applications in the late 1980's in the wood industry, and the establishment of Ensyn Renewables Inc. to capitalize on commercial projects for this business. In 1997, Dr. Graham initiated the application of this commercial technology in the petroleum industry.

Peter Meredith, CA, a member of the company's board of directors. Mr. Meredith was Ivanhoe Mines' CFO from May, 2004, to May, 2006, and from June, 1999, to November, 2001. Mr. Meredith has been the CFO of Ivanhoe Capital Corporation since June, 1996. Previously, he spent 31 years with Deloitte and Touche LLP, Chartered Accountants.
Mr. Meredith also is a director and CEO of SouthGobi Energy Resources Ltd. (SGQ-TSXV), a majority owned coal company focused on exploration and development of its Permian-age metallurgical and thermal coal deposits in Mongolia's South Gobi Region to supply a wide range of coal products and electricity to markets in Mongolia and China.

 Robert Pirraglia is an engineer and attorney with more than 25 years of experience in the development of energy projects and projects employing innovative technologies. Robert Pirraglia currently serves as Chief Operating Officer and Director of Ensyn Corporation. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Ensyn Group Inc starting in 1996 and became its Chief Operating Officer in 1998. Prior to joining Ensyn, in addition to being a founder of Montenay Power Corporation and serving as Chief Operating Officer of Biomedical Waste Systems, Inc , he provided management and business consulting services to various U.S., Canadian and European companies.
